- Sending from an exchange without accounting for its fee. Less arrives than you sent and the payment does not cover the invoice.
- Using an old address. Addresses can rotate; take the current one from the payment screen, not from your history.
How long settlement takes
Usually minutes. Crediting is tied to network confirmations, so under load it can take longer.
If nothing has arrived after an hour, you need the transaction hash. With it support finds the payment quickly; without it the conversation is guesswork.
